made a decision to spend several minutes taking in this awesome scenery. The undisturbed snow was the purest white, and the trees looked like they were covered with fine, powdered sugar. The rising sun made the snow glisten and sparkle, and I felt like I was looking at a postcard of a winter wonderland. Those few moments helped me start my day with peace, joy and gratitude, unlike most days, when I just rush around the house getting things done.
About an hour later, I looked outside again, and the scene from earlier this morning was no longer the same. The sun had caused the snow to start melting, it now had a puckered appearance, much of it had fallen off the trees, and the previously undisturbed snow now had footprints in it. This scene no longer make me feel the same way as before. I was, however, grateful that I had taken the time earlier to catch the beauty of those particular moments. Often we miss out on beauty that's right in front of us.
Things constantly change, nothing is permanent, and we should try to give our full attention to the people, places and things that make us feel love, joy and peace. Don't miss out on precious things because you're set on "auto-pilot".
